The Ultimate Snowplow

The Ultimate Snowplow Greetings,  We finally experienced our first heavy snow of the year. I am guessing 6-8 inches at my home. It was a very peaceful storm that, little by little, over the course of 12 hours, kept adding layer and layer of thick snow. All afternoon and into the evening the cars were driving very slowly. The next morning, as I headed into the bakery, I found the road to be very messy. It was covered with snow. Some of the snow was hardened into ice making the road very bumpy. Mountains We Must Climb

Mountains We Must Climb Greetings, I have never been on an actual mountain. I've either driven by them, flown over them or saw them in a book or movie. Indeed, they are very majestic. What? Are you crazy?

What? Are you crazy!? Lately, over the course of the last year or so, I get that a lot. Mowing Snowballs

April 2012 Mowing Snowballs Lawn mowing in Spring is a very difficult task to get done and stay ahead of. My days tend to be pretty long during planting season, which makes it tough to get the mowing done. Fortunately I live ¼ mile off the road and not in a neighborhood that demands a perfectly manicured lawn. It is truly impressive to me to see some of the lawns that people have. I have often said that if I would spray my lawn for weeds, I wouldn’t have any more lawn. Ha! This week really wasn’t much different.  Here...

Oh Manna!

May 2012 Oh Manna! Have you ever been frustrated because things haven’t gone the way you wanted? Does it ever seem that just when you think you are making some progress life then throws you a curve ball? I have noticed that every time that I am grumpy or stressed it is generally because I am thinking about myself and these types of things. I accepted a challenge to read through the entire Bible in 90 days. This week I read again about the journey through the desert. There was nothing to eat or drink and everybody was mad. The...
